Days of Honor Season 5 Episode 1
The action begins in May 1945. Michał and Władek are in a partisan unit and are hiding in the forest. When the soldiers of the People’s Army make a „cauldron” they start to suspect that there is a traitor in the unit and plan a provocation to find him. Bronek executes death sentences against communist informers. He lives with Wanda in a tenement house near Warsaw. Janek is deported from the German camp along with other prisoners. The Americans intercept them at the checkpoint and transport them to a refugee camp. Helena is looking for information about Wanda. She doesn’t even know if she managed to survive the uprising. At a search point in Warsaw’s Praga district, she is approached by a mysterious man named Kazimierz. Helena obviously knows him well. At the same point, Władek and Michał are looking for their mother. Michał meets Celina, accompanied by the writer Paweł Butermant. Celina works in one of the red publishing houses as a translator. For Michał, this work is a form of collaboration. The director of one of the departments of the Ministry of Public Security, Ada Lewińska (played by Magdalena Cielecka), orders Colonel UB Wasilewski (Adam Woronowicz) to find and denounce two hundred Polish jumpers dropped into the country during the war. We find Karol Ryszkowski in the district office of the Security Office. As a captain, he deals with rather trivial matters.
